Senior Connections, the Richmond area's agency on aging, is a great place to start when it comes to locating services and other resources to support aging in place.

 The Alzheimer's Association is a national, nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Alzheimer's and all other forms of dementia. It has local chapters across the country, including here in Richmond. It also has a 24/7 help line at 1-800-272-3900. 

Autism Speaks is an autism science and advocacy organization founded in 2005 by a husband and wife who were inspired by their grandson being diagnosed with autism. The organization promotes a vision where all people with autism can reach their full potential.

In Virginia, the Virginia Department of Education is responsible for providing a student with an Individual Education Program (IEP) when the student is identified as having an educational disability and requires special education services to meet the student's unique learning needs.
